MARIA RAFAEL, APRN - ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE

Maria is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). Maria has been working in the healthcare field since 2003 in many different roles. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from University of North Florida, Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University with Magna Cum Laude honors. She has been a Registered Nurse since 2009 with a certification as a Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) and in 2018 certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-c).

Maria has been a wonderful addition to Fleming Island Plastic Surgery since 2018. She was mentored by Dr. Wallace and is now an injector expert with many years of training and experience.

Maria loves all things beauty related and enjoys giving our patients their confidence back through skincare and non-surgical options. She has a warm and sweet personality and is complimented on her gentle technique for injection by all our patients.

When Maria is not working, she spends time with her husband, her 2 French bulldogs, family, including her nieces and nephew. She loves her frenchies, Phoebe and Brinkley, as much as she loves her husband. Her other passions are photography, bourbon tasting and collecting, traveling, and she loves the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Maria is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Northeast Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau International.
