Thrasher - Horne Center

The Thrasher-Horne Center is a cultural arts organization located at 283 College Dr, Orange Park, FL 32065. The center offers several programs to assist youth in gaining skills that will prepare them for success in life. Among these are the American Indian Summer Academy, the Native American Dance Institute, and the Young People’s Theatre Association. In addition to its programs for young people, the THC regularly presents concerts by unsigned performers from around the world. Even though it’s best known for hosting jazz and blues concerts, Thrasher-Horne Center also hosts a variety of musical genres. For example, it stages pop and rock shows during its annual pop concert season (which runs from April through September). The annual American Indian Summer Academy — which takes place during the warmer months of July — is another regular event at the THC. The academy is specifically geared toward developing leadership skills among students of all ages.  Next blog post

The center even has an After School Art & Craft Club onsite where teens can meet after school to create art projects or take class-related courses. The Thrasher-Horne Center is a performing arts organization that focuses on developing young people through music and dance education. It helps youths pursue their dreams by providing a safe space where they can learn how to express themselves in new ways while also having fun at the same time.

The history of the Thrasher-Horne Center can be traced back to 1976, the year that saw the first jazz event held at the facility. That event was headlined by Toots Thielemans and featured many of the greats of the day. The first rock concert to be held at the Thrasher-Horne Center was also in 1976, during which time the center also welcomed many of the emerging rock and heavy metal bands of the day. In fact, the first punk rock show at the Center was in 1979, during which time the center also welcomed a variety of new wave, post-punk, and hardcore acts. Since then, the Center has witnessed an impressive array of talent and innovation. Among the many acts that have performed at the Center are Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Leonard Cohen, Metallica, Phish, Joan Jett, Nirvana, U2, Led Zeppelin, Iron Butterfly, The Beach Boys, The Doobie Brothers, Breaking Bad, and many, many more.

The Thrasher-Horne Center is perhaps most famous for its annual concert series, which include prominent national acts as well as up-and-coming groups. The Center regularly hosts jazz and blues concerts during its annual pop concert season (which runs from April through September). These concerts are famous for their variety, with guest artists regularly performing different genres of music. One of the more popular genres represented at the Center is contemporary Christian music, which is also featured at the Church on the Bayou every so often.

The Thrasher-Horne Center offers a variety of programs for young people, including after-school clubs, art programs, dance classes, films, and a reading and writing class. The center also has a variety of after-school activities for children and teens, including a kid’s choir, a basketball program, and a summer reading program. Next blog
