Located about 20 miles Southwest of Jacksonville, FL, Fleming Island is a quaint city with a population of over 29,000. It is ranked as one of the wealthiest communities in Clay County, next to Point Vedra Beach. The island’s area covers just over 23 square miles, with only 15 square miles being land. The remaining 7 square miles are water, which surrounds the entire island with St. Johns River to the east and Swimming Pen Creek to the west. To the north and south are, Doctors Lake and Black Creek. The city offers private community living, fine waterfront dining, and boutique style shopping. The island’s lovely weather also makes it appealing to many vacation goers.
